Recurring Meeting of Cleveland Clinic - Stanford University
Date: November 7, 2017
Time: 1:00 PM EST
Means: Conference Call
Attendees:
- Ahmet Erdemir (Cleveland Clinic)
- Rici Morrill (Cleveland Clinic)
- Joy Ku (Stanford University)
- Tod Hing (Stanford University)
Agenda:
- Static hosting of in vivo data with DOI.
- Data management system for in vitro data.
- Other.
Immediate Action Items:
- Cleveland Clinic
- Evaluate readiness of in vivo data for archival and inform Stanford University team.
- Start testing the trial site for in vitro data management and dissemination.
- Stanford University
- Check the possibility of data infrastructure manuscript for Scientific Data.
- Upon confirmation by Cleveland Clinic, prepare a static archival of in vivo data with DOI.
- Provide link to trial site for management of in vitro data.
Notes:
- Static hosting of in vivo data with DOI.
Joy noted that the static hosting will eventually be through SimTk. However, that integration is not ready. Nonetheless, they can issue a DOI and point to an archival version. After porting the static data to SimTk, DOI association to data location can be updated.
Ahmet wondered how static and dynamic versions of data will work with SimTk. Joy noted that each project can host multiple data management areas, which can be static or dynamic. Ahmet anticipated that for the MULTIS project six data management sections will likely be needed; static and dynamic version of in vivo data, in vitro data (ultrasound), in vitro data (surgical tools).
- When Cleveland Clinic team is ready, they can inform Henry to capture the latest version of in vivo data and prepare a static archival version with DOI. Rici will follow up. Ahmet mentioned that subject and trial notes currently populated on the wiki need to be in the repository as well.
- The group also discussed the manuscript on in vivo data.
- In response to Joy's comment, Cleveland Clinic team indicated that the Download package for scripts would not need a DOI. Rici will change the wording in the manuscript to reflect this.
Joy noted that if referring to multisbeta as the site of dynamic data is OK. Ahmet noted that it would be fine for the manuscript. When the location moves, we may need to redirect the multisbeta site to SimTk.
- Ahmet and Rici reminded Joy about submission of a manuscript in relation to data management system. Joy will look at the infrastructure paper.
- Data management system for in vitro data.
- Tod has already launched a site for testing the implementation of the system for a new project. He utilized a general template resembling the current multis template. He also put some data from the in vivo data set and the site worked. The Cleveland Clinic team will test this for in vitro data. Tod will send the link and Rici will upload data and evaluate the querying system; this time using in vitro data.
- Other.
Ahmet asked about the timeline to integrate data management system to SimTk. Joy noted that currently they have been testing it. A basic version should be ready by the end of the year for users to test on a staging server. The release will follow accordingly. Ahmet mentioned this as he would be interested in using it for data management and dissemination for Open Knee(s).
