- Continue working on morphing scripts
- Rici
- Assist Tyler with surgical tools experiments (as needed).
- Continue development of manuscript on in vivo indentation stiffness.
- Continue development of manuscript on tissue thickness measurement comparisons.
- Ahmet
- Compile haptics libraries and SofaHAPI.
- Review draft of model assembly manuscript.
- Ariel
- Assist Tyler with surgical tools experiments (as needed).
Notes:
- Manuscripts update.
- Instrumented ultrasound paper will be re-submitted after in vivo data paper is accepted
- Ahmet and Ben discussed the modeling paper in relation to figures. Ahmet noted that we should package the code to go along with the paper as well as some of the meshes.
- Rici will continue working on the indentation paper focusing more on the simplistic analysis of the in vivo indentation data.
- Data dissemination update.
Rici and Ahmet talked with Stanford. They are close to completing the final checks for SimTk integration of the data management site (within the next 2 weeks). Tod will focus on the outstanding bugs fixed for the in vitro data management site.
- In vitro testing status.
- Tyler is back and is working on system checks for surgical tools testing. New digitizing probe was disconnecting randomly during data collection, but it is likely due to the length of the cable.
- The team discussed the surgical tools specifications.
- Ahmet mentioned that we should try to keep pinch thickness consistent (if possible)
- Order and necessary trials need to be updated on the Wiki - an image would be helpful to understand this
- Needs to be more complete (videos, Vic3D, etc.)
Modeling & simulation status.
- Can now generate lumped and layered models (without gravity compensation and in situ strain)
- Layered model: corresponding forces using material properties from literature produce forces that are too high.
- New FEBio 2.7 is out, but has not been investigated at this point.
- Ben is currently working on the morphing script and is having issues with the amount of data that is being used.
- Ahmet asked if the modeling scripts are ready to be passed off to either Ariel or Sean. His response was that they are complete but that he need to clean it up and add some comments prior to passing it to someone else. Extrusion (for skin layer) sometimes causes some elements to invert and therefore throws an error in FEBio and currently he handles it by commenting it out of the FEBio file. These elements are usually on the ends of the model and therefore should not affect the area that we are interested in (Ahmet thinks this is a workable method for handling this right now).
- Can now generate lumped and layered models (without gravity compensation and in situ strain)
- Review of immediate action items from past meeting.
- All action items were related to the agenda items; refer to discussions above.
- Decide immediate action items for next meeting.
- See Ongoing Action Items above.
- Other.
- Ben will be moving in the first week of July.
