Ongoing Action Items:
- Rici
- Add sister site information to surgical tools management site Readme.txt file.
- Tyler
- Upload new data overview graphs for the in vitro data to multisgamma data management site.
- Continue development of in vitro and surgical tools data manuscripts.
- Continue development of manuscript on tissue thickness measurement comparisons.
- Revisit repeatability testing for tissue characterization.
- Fix the issues Tammy found on the wiki.
- Ben
- Resolve quadratic wedge element export to FEBio.
- Continue work on model assembly paper.
- Sean
- Examine data overview plots for each of the models to determine if the data can be used "as is".
- Ahmet
- Compile haptics libraries and SofaHAPI.
- Tammy
- Assist in organization/clean-up of wiki.
Notes:
- Manuscripts update.
- Rici submitted the indentation paper to the Journal of Biomechanics.
- Tyler is still working on the data papers (in vitro and surgical tools). Rici has finished the analysis of the in vitro data and will support Tyler in the writing of his paper.
- Sean will take the lead on the in vitro/in vivo indentation comparison paper.
- Ben and Ahmet discussed the model assembly paper. He still needs to finish running all the models and will then make sure the results and methods sections align appropriately. Ben will look at improving the introduction before having Ahmet look at it again.
- Sean is working on an abstract to submit to SB3C, summarizing the lumped model development process.
- Data dissemination update.
- Rici asked about uploading the Vic3D data to the data management site (zipped or unzipped). Ahmet asked to describe what the disseminated data would look like in a zipped format vs. unzipped format (folder structure).
- Rici will verify size of the surgical tools data site prior to uploading the Vic3D data.
- Ahmet talked with Joy, and decided that we would meet with the Stanford group on a need basis from now on.
- In vitro testing status.
- We are still waiting for arm and leg specimens from a final donor.
- Tyler has uploaded the new in vitro data overview plots to multisgamma. During the meeting we discussed the data offsets and determined that the data overview plots need to be adjusted to incorporate the data shift between the force tranducers and optotrak sensors. Tyler and Rici will work to update the script to update the data overview plots again.
- Tyler has been working on fat tissue testing. He is working to determine the best methods for capturing the initial tissue thickness in a repeatable manner. He has talked with Snehal and has a few methods to experiment with.
Modeling & simulation status.
- Ben is still working to resolve the quadratic wedge elements, which are resulting in negative Jacobians. He feels he has hit a wall, however thinks there may still be a solution. He will build a single element mesh and see if he can resolve this issue in the most simplistic test problem.
- Inverse FEA modeling is ready to go, however we still need to look into data filtering prior to running these models.
- Ariel discussed the pre-strain module. She will forward the e-mail from Steve that explains the issues we were having.
- Review of action items from past meeting.
- All action items were related to the agenda items; refer to discussions above.
- Decide action items for next meeting.
- See Ongoing Action Items above.
- Other.
- Tyler will be shifting some of the laboratory space. He will move the Mach-1 testing system to the current Open Knee(s) laboratory, which will focus on small tissue sample testing. The current MULTIS lab will be used for larger specimens/cadavers.
- Tammy will continue working with Ahmet and the rest of the team to help clean up the wiki page for MULTiS.
