We computed muscle synergies from the pre-treatment EMG and quantified how good is the reconstruction of the patients' post-treatment and normal EMG signals based upon the patients' pre-treatment muscle synergies.
We also investigated if the characteristics of the muscle synergies could correlate with the changes in motor performance observed in the patients. The motor performance was computed as the Gait Profile Score based on the inverse kinematics results obtained with the OpenSim tools.
