Provide an example model for generating predictive musculoskeletal simulations to mitigate injury and inform device design.
This project demonstrates how to apply musculoskeletal modeling and forward dynamics simulation in OpenSim to assess potential changes in human performance due to augmentation and/or intervention. The drop landing model, in particular, demonstrates how to predict ankle-inversion during a drop landing in OpenSim under varying conditions which include: an ankle-foot orthosis (AFO) and a loaded backpack as well as the height and angle of the landing platform.
