The SPAN source code is intended to facilitate dynamic optimization using a global search strategy on a computer cluster. Source code is provided as well as a simple application on a geometric problem. SPAN has also been applied to solve for muscle excitations during pedaling (see reference manuscript) and walking (Higginson et al., 2006).
