Summary:
"results_directory" in IK tool doesn't seem to do anything

Detailed description
I have an absolute path written into the "results_directory" line in my inverse kinematics setup file. The location is different from where the model file and setup files are located.

I run the ik tool using the command prompt, but the files are only written into location where the model file is located. No matter what I have in the results directory, it doesn't seem to affect where the files are written.

I have replicated the bug.

Seems that the it cant create a new folder. If an existing path is designated in the ouput motion (ie; C:\OpenSim 3.2\Models\Gait2354_Simbody\OutputReference\subject01_walk3_ik.mot) then it will print. If a new folder is to be created (ie; C:\OpenSim 3.2\Models\Gait2354_Simbody\newIKoutputFolder\subject01_walk3_ik.mot), then it will not print.

This is don in the gui and editing tag <output_motion_file>

Indeed, it does nothing except if you save marker locations then the file is saved into it. You can specify output motion file, however, and and that should put output kinematics in the desired location. Please try that and let us know how it goes.

Thanks
