We are pleased to announce the following new features, bug fixes, and other improvements in OpenSim 4.5. The new software includes improvements to the look and feel of the GUI, published Conda and Docker packages, additional Moco functionality, and the introduction of FunctionBasedPath for function-based muscle wrapping. We also now distribute a version of the Rajagopal model with the OpenSim resources folder included in the OpenSim application. OpenSim 3.0 is our biggest upgrade to-date. We've added new features, including live model editing and scripting in Matlab and the GUI. We've enhanced some of the core existing OpenSim functionality, including our muscle models and tools for visualizing forces and other motion data. OpenSim 2.4 includes faster and more robust tools for Inverse Dynamics and Inverse Kinematics, new visualization tools, enhanced access for API users, and several usability improvements. In addition, we’ve verified that the results of Computed Muscle Control now match or exceed the quality of those achieved in OpenSim version 1.9.1.
