Represent the 3D anatomy of ostrich limbs in biomechanical models.
This study explains the development of a 3D musculoskeletal model of an ostrich''s pelvic limb with all major muscle groups. It then implements the model to describe trends in muscles'' moment arms with limb orientation, and tests how limb orientation relates to maximal muscle moment arms, moments, and externally imposed loads.
The full Opensim model used for the paper is provided here with a "Readme" file containing further information. All data in the paper could be reproduced with this. Further simulations could be run with it, and are being developed.See all Downloads
